“I highly recommend Leigh Rossi Doukas to provide professional and knowledgeable residential real estate services. This past Spring I was confronted with an extremely difficult situation. My mother was placed in a nursing home and we were pressured to quickly sell her home. The house was in terrible shape. We had to clean it out, repair rotted walls, redo flooring, update appliances, woodwork, and in general a total renovation of the house. I had less then two months to complete this project and get it on the market.
I contacted Leigh who immediately swung into action. She put us in touch with contractors to help us with the work and advised us every step of the way. She monitored the work for me and helped trouble shoot when the inevitable problems surfaced. Her demeanor was always professional and confident which helped me cope with the stress of the situation. Before the project was completed Leigh started pre-marketing the property. Getting the word out that a unique property was about to be put on the market. Leigh did her homework on competitive offerings and market comparables; providing me with the information I needed to correctly establish an asking price.
The project was completed on time, within budget and Leigh started showing it immediately. That first weekend she showed it to a significant number of qualified and interested buyers. By the end of the weekend I had three offers and we received two more the next day. Leigh handled the negotiations with the potential buyers, demonstrating an additional level of her skills. She organized a sealed bid auction and by the 4th day I accepted an offer which was above my asking price from a highly qualified buyer. Leigh then managed the long list of details required to pass over the house to the buyers. She kept me informed and never did I worry that something would go wrong. I closed two weeks and one day later, truly a remarkable record.
